So, I unwittingly became a mother today. There was a large storm last night in my area and while on a walk with my peeps we found a family of birds laying in the grass. All were dead; except one baby that looked up at me and opened it's mouth as though waiting for me to upchuck a lunch for it.

So, I took it home. I'm keeping him/her in a cage thast I fashioned out of two little storage baskets (the kind you put your markers in) with a towel in there to act as a floor. The upper basket acts as a lid so he'she doesn't hop out.

It's been enjoying meals of mashed bluberries, apple sauce, and mashed room temperature oatmeal. If it lives through the night, my grampa said I can keep it until we find somebody else to take it.

I have named it Sparrow. Because I don't know if it's male or femal not what type of bird that it is.
